Bow Hunting Snakehead — Rivers Edge Style
This isn’t your typical fishing trip. Our guided snakehead bow hunts put you on foot, stalking productive shallow-water habitat across our Eastern Shore properties in search of one of Maryland’s most unique and exciting fish.
Success starts with knowing where to look. John’s experience with our farms and understanding of snakehead habitat, water conditions, cover, and fish behavior helps hunters learn how to search productive areas, spot fish, approach without spooking them, and get into position for the shot.
Stalk. Spot. Shoot.
Snakehead bow hunting is all about the stalk. You’ll move through prime habitat on foot, scanning shallow water and vegetation for fish that can be surprisingly difficult to see. Once one is spotted, getting into position can be half the adventure.
Some shots are straightforward. Others may require navigating mud, banks, vegetation, uneven ground, and some pretty interesting shooting positions. That challenge is exactly what makes this hunt so much fun.
There’s no sitting in a boat waiting for the action to come to you. You’re actively hunting.
Exceptional Habitat Makes the Difference
Our farms provide access to some excellent snakehead habitat, and knowing how these fish use it is a major part of the experience. John helps hunters understand what to look for, where fish are likely to hold, and how to search an area effectively rather than simply walking the shoreline hoping to spot one.
